Wedding Requirements in Fiji: Simple & Straightforward

Getting married in Fiji is as easy as falling in love. Simply meet the following legal requirements and let us handle the rest:

 1. Age: Both parties must be at least 18 years old.

 2. Documents Needed:

 • Valid passports for both parties

 • Birth certificates

 • If previously married, a copy of the final divorce decree or death certificate of a former spouse

 • Certificates of Single Status (or similar) from your country of residence

 • Deed Poll certificate if applicable

 3. Notice of Intended Marriage: Complete the application form at least 21 days before your ceremony.

 4. Marriage License:

 • Visit the Registrar’s Office in Fiji at least 3 working days before the ceremony.

 • Apply at Suva, Lautoka, or Nadi Registry Office or the district office nearest to the resort.

 5. Witnesses: Two witnesses (18 years or older) are required.

 6. Fee: Marriage license fee is FJD 20.

Important: Ensure all documents are in English or translated and notarized by a certified translator.
